Hi guys, I just wanted to download the /e/OS image from images.ecloud.global, however I keep getting a network timeout when trying to access the website. Is it being on planned downtime or are there other things going on?
Thanks a lot.

I confirm that I cannot reach https://images.ecloud.global/dev/hotdogb
https://images.ecloud.global/dev/hotdogb
The connection has timed out
An error occurred during a connection to images.ecloud.global.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.
Status can be checked:
I do see on https://status.e.foundation/
Partially Degraded Service
I am able to access the service at https://images.ecloud.global/dev/hotdogb. Let me know if it is still not accessible to you.
Hi Manoj, unfortunately I’m still not able to access either https://images.ecloud.global/dev/gta4xl or https://images.ecloud.global/dev/hotdogb or even https://images.ecloud.global/ in general.
The global should not be accessible, but the other links https://images.ecloud.global/dev/gta4xl and https://images.ecloud.global/dev/hotdogb are working for me. Have informed the infra team to check if there is any issue.
Thanks! Meanwhile, is there possibly a mirror for the system image of the gta4xl?
Thanks for the response but I still find the same.
Both https://images.ecloud.global/dev/hotdogb and https://images.ecloud.global/dev/gta4xl still time out with “The connection has timed out”. Same result also with https://images.ecloud.global/stable/starlte/ https://images.ecloud.global/stable/starlte/
https://status.e.foundation/ still shows
Partially Degraded Service
0% OTA upgrades API
since nearly one week is https://images.ecloud.global unrechble.
Is this “normal” and is there an alternative?

The link you quote is not cannot be browsed … however you are duplicating this problem … Unable to access images.ecloud.global which has not resolved at this time.
This is weird. I am even now able to access both links on my PC.
Pl can you try using a different network. For example, instead of using your broadband try connecting using the hotspot from your mobile and check if the page opens - assuming both are on different networks. At times we have noticed this issue when one network throws errors accessing these pages through another network works.
Passing on the feedback to the team.
The team was checking on the OTA upgrades API
and mentioned it was showing red even when services were ok.
My Wi-Fi connected PC is now connecting to “e/OS build downloads” pages without problems.
An hour or so ago I can confirm that I did find that my mobile phone was able to access the pages and to commence a download, while the PC still timed out. My impression was that perhaps this was Browser related as my Mobile phone was Wi-Fi connected at the time. I see no significant noticeable Mobile data used today.
This is slightly confirmed, as during the afternoon, when the problem existed the status bar of Firefox 115.9.1 (Edit, with uBlock Origin which I did not think to disable) was showing https://images.ecloud.global
, on hover and “Open link in new tab”, rather than the full ulr of the desired download page. However the timeout message came from the full url.
Now the Firefox status bar shows the full expected url and connects instantly.
Meanwhile https://status.e.foundation/ is showing:
Partially Degraded Service
0% OTA upgrades API
It seems like everything’s working fine again, through PC as well as through mobile broadband, thanks.
