I just want to say i bleeping LUV this e os.
had to say that.
So having said that…
I have:
- set up an access point in both the 5GH and 2.5GH range.
- disabled broadcast for the SSID
- selected Add Network on my phone under Wi-Fi
- added the SSID of my new access point, set up security, etc…
When I enable WiFi on the phone, select my access point from Saved Networks, and tap Connect, the Connect icon goes grey for a few moments then says not in range.
If I then enable broadcast on my access point it connects without issue.
If I then dissable broadcast on my access point and, restart the access point, my phone connects without issue.
At that point I can start and stop my non broadcasting access point and my phone is happy to connect every time it comes up.
But…
Once I turn off WiFi on the phone it will not reconnect to my access point unless it is broadcasting its SSID.
Is there something I am doing wrong?
The phone is an A5 2017. I have the latest e installed.
