Unable to download Telegram

It says I can use Telegram but when I look in Applications I can’t find the standard App there.

You can get it from https://telegram.org/dl/android/apk, then install it using the Files app.

Also worthy of consideration is the FOSS version available on F-Droid.

The differences:

Several proprietary parts were removed from the original Telegram client, including Google Play Services for the location services, HockeySDK for self-updates and push notifications through Google Cloud Messaging. Location sharing functionality is restored using OpenStreetMap.
