An icon has appeared top right of a bell with a backward slash on it. What is this?

It might be that you have lowered the volume of your ringing tone to 0.
Don’t know how this happened but for others who might have caught this accidentally, press volume up button then click on icon at top to get setting back as shown below:
You would think that there would be some consistency in icons as when volume is muted it is a speaker with backslash across it. My first association with the Bell icon was related to alarms!
It means the system profile is set to silent.
There are several different volumes, as you can see when you tap < below the volume instead of the top icon in your screenshot.
There’s a bell among those. Was this the muted volume perhaps?
In the Settings the bell is associated to notifications.
