Thank you very much @ronnz98 !! I tried to build following your guide and got a linker error related to the fingerprint reader, I changed a function to bypass that error but then the reader did not work… Then I found this!! Installing now, for the moment I’ll try to build Lineage OS to learn the basics better.
I already tested it. Has 2 minor bugs that also appear in Lineage OS, NFC is not working, and the app lounge can’t get anonymous session. Besides that, everything working fine! Since I don’t care about NFC I’m sticking to this ROM. When I have better knowledge, I’ll build for myself. Thanks!
Thank you for your work.
I still have some questions. According to the XDA instructions there are the following 4 files:
- boot.img
- signed-ota_update.zip
- Source code (zip)
- Source code (tar.gz)
Additionally the current /e/os:
e-2.7-u-20250204-UNOFFICIAL-bangkk.zip
Can you please explain to me in which order the files are installed?
Many thanks in advance
@budaugasse
Your question prompts me to ask you: Have you already unlocked the bootloader of Moto G84 5G ( XT2347, XT2347-1, XT2347-2 ) using the Motorola unlock code?
I have already received the unlock code for my XT2347-2 by e-mail. At the moment I am still waiting for the release of the ‘oem unlock’ function in the developer options.
In the developer options, the item ‘OEM unlocking’ is greyed out and cannot be selected. I have read that it can take several days. At the moment I get the following response to “fastboot oem unlock DUXP6PUHMJ4JRNAxxxxx”
*(bootloader) Check ‘OEM unlocking’ in Android Settings > Developer * (bootloader) Options FAILED (remote: ‘’) fastboot: error: Command failed
I hope that it will work in a couple of days.
Thanks for the tip, the download of the update is starting but I still can’t select the unlock. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can unlock the bootloader.
@budaugasse,
also try different USB 2.0 cables and make sure that one end of the cable is connected to a primary USB 2.0 port on the host machine (PC).
So after 7 days of waiting I was finally able to unlock the bootloader. I proceeded as follows:
- boot.img (XDA)
- copy-partitions-20220613-signed.zip (XDA)
the current /e/os:
• e-2.7-u-20250204-UNOFFICIAL-bangkk.zip
The device is now running with /e/os
Many thanks for the help
With version 2.7, the reboot took 5 minutes. With version 2.8 the restart works normally. Otherwise, everything has been working normally for me so far. However, I only use the phone as a second device at the moment.
