[UNOFFICIAL BUILD] Samsung Tab A 2015 9.7 SM-T550 (gt510wifi) and SM-T555 (gt510lte) for /e/OS R

This e-2.2-r-20240721-UNOFFICIAL-gt510lte version is working for me at least on SM-T555. I haven’t tried newer version (e-2.4-s-20241020-UNOFFICIAL-gt510lte) because of the issues mentioned here.

Piero, Should the Twrp link given in your post above work on the T555?

Then install twrp_3.1.1-1
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673791459329063717

I note that it’s file name suggests its for a T355 and I’m having lots of problems getting twrp to boot once installed and with the given file i just get a black screen with no sign of life.

However the link from rarder44 to twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-t555_13317 does work,

Had you not mentioned the correct firmware stock build i would still be going around in circles. Thank you!

Works brilliantly, Few bumps to start which resulted in reboot to recovery, deleted cache (or something, don’t recall) in twrp and since its been great! Thank you!
If it wasn’t for this thread i’d be still going around in circles.

Which version are you now using?

Latest stock as advised by Piero T555XXU1CRG1
Revoery as per rarder44 to twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-t555_13317

And then the modded e-2.2-r-20240721-UNOFFICIAL-gt510lte.zip
where the version check had been removed as per Rader66’s post

I’m not familiar with using twerp and its full capability but if i can backup my current setup to reload, id happily test the latest version. Anything I can do to iron out the need for the mod, then i’d happily do what is requested. Although i haven’t got long with the device before it’s gifted as part/ controller for of a home audio system.

with Download e-2.4-s-20241020-UNOFFICIAL-gt510lte.zip (eOSBuildsRonnz98)

Which i managed to find by changing “wifi” to “LTE” in the URL… with the mod it installs with no error, however endless boot cycle not even getting to the bouncing e. and staying in bit:kernel mode. I shall try again… but still the same result. This can’t have anything to do with the TWRP version I’m using can it?
Below is a snippet of the kernel log:
