Hi ronnz98. Mounting data in Twrp does not work with your eos vendor builds. With the original LOS vendor it works.

Failed to mount ‘/data’ (Invalid argument)

So does the ROM not work?

ROM itself works. In an emergency, however, there would be no access via twrp recovery

Update for /e/OS-T 2.6:

e-2.6.3-t-20241223-UNOFFICIAL-dora.zip

Great. Mounting data works now. Many thanks for the new build ronnz98

Hi, thanks for the update. are you also familiar with kernel patching?

I can apply patches if available, yes

Bpf changes are recognizable in the latest kernel source GitHub - rik0612c/android_kernel_sony_msm8996

This may make eos A14 QPR2 GSI and above bootable. With the current kernel it works up to A14 QPR1. Tested with Lineage A14 GSI.

A test build is possible?

Your EOS GSI runs on a Nubia device with the same kernel version. The source would be useful, then it could be transferred to the Sony kernel?

@Null : would that be possible?

Update for /e/OS-T 2.9

Hello dear ronnz98, I discovered this forum and with it e/OS today and I am greatly suprised that someone still developes for the Sony Xperia X Performance. I got this phone a few years ago from my mom after she didn’t need it anymore and decided to update it to a newer Android version one day and it has been running LOS 19 with android 12 ever since (which is still pretty good compared to stock version 8) but the rom has a few stability issues which seem to have been fixed by you (great job btw! (: ) if I read your previous Threads and posts correctly.

Now the reason as to why I created an Account here isn’t just because I want to praise your work but ask some stuff aswell. First of all, I’ve read that e/OS doesn’t support google services as it’s a microG de-googled system and microG clashes against GApps packages. Is that true? And I’ve also seen that e/OS is based om LOS so is there a lineage rom aswell or would you be able to release one by any chance? I always liked custom roms and such but I’d still like to keep the google services.

I hope you’ll see and answer my stuff soon. Great work, keep it up!

Thanks, I’m mainly a ROM builder with some Android developer skills but I’m not the developer for this device. /e/OS is Lineage based and uses microG, so GApps is not intended to be used for this. With some linux knowledge you can build yourself for Lineage, I have some nice how-to’s available for building ROMs…

.

dora sources for LineageOS 20 :

You need also some other files and not the latest version of kernel. Please write a PM when you want to build yourself

Might sound stupid but how can I write ab DM/PM in this forum? I am highly interested in building myself, I’ve always wanted to get into that field a bit

Hi… bought a NOS Sony X Performance a few months back on ebay and decided to use it as a spoofing phone. The phone is an F8132 Dual Sim. So installed e-1.18-t as a starter OS with a view to maybe upgrading to 2.0 if all is well. So far no problems with the dual sim arrangement with both the GG (spoof) SIM and my regular Spusu contract SIM working fine. Don’t have any bench test software so all testing has been by using it this past couple of weeks and so far so good.

Thinking of updating to a later version but notice that although my kernel is 4.4.302, is no mention of perf+. Which update(s) do you recommend for practical daily use? Is the ‘perf+’ even relevant?

Thanks in advance guys,
