Great
One important thing, im currently on crdroid 11.8 and there is an annoying bug:
This phones come with two panels, gtx and fts, i have the fts version.
The screen doesn’t like to run at 90hz, moreover at 60hz i have black bands on the screen at low luminosity.
This is very annoying, the developer suggested to use always a scarlet kernel, it might be worth considering to include it to prevent issues with fts.
I’ve not yet installed the scarlet kernel because I’m out the house and can’t end up with a nonfunctional phone while traveling…

Update for /e/OS-a15 3.3

Thank you so much for making it possible to use on redwood! In 72h i’ll be able to unlock the bootloader so I could try this rom out.

I’ll report any issue when I’ve been using it a couple of weeks

This update makes the device (Poco) enter in a boot loop. What can I do? I’ll keep on the other version, but can I do anything to solve the problem with 3.3?

Can you please check latest version:

Apologies I did not see the new release as it was a different thread.

Now testing the latest build (3.4) on my Redwood, upgraded from 3.12.

No issue this far, only the installer fails the zip verification and on the first call there was no audio (I disabled dolby atmos and then I had sound).

Ok speakerphone doesn’t work at all tho.

Everything seems working as expected but the usual stuff that do not:

Night light

Colours

the rest “just works” TM

The speakerphone bug Is more serious than I suspected:

  1. clicking on the speakerphone icon permanently removes sound from the call. It is not possible to revert to normal unless the call is ended.

  2. leaving the call window, for example opening another app or sending a picture results in the same effect, it is not possible to revert to normal.

  3. the same happens on BT, but not all the times.

With this issue the phone must be treated as a monotask item, as opening another app ends in the loss of the call.

Can you try this version (I used different kernel now)

Also you can try this version now:

Hello

trying the first file but having some issues as the 3.4 recovery doesn’t work so I need to sort this out 1st (no boot, just POCO log showing).

I wonder, probably the 3.4 recovery is down. but on the other slot the recovery should be active, any way to change slot from fastboot?

First version doesn’t work properly either (no sound when activating speakerphone and unable to get it back)

Second version (B kernel) seems to work correctly but I did not have enough time to test for bugs.

May I suggest to look at kernels from crdroid as well, I used to run that rom and for many years I did not have any issue, once the developer left the problems started and I moved to e.os but by now they might be back on track.

I used kernel from crDroid - I suspect A15 based kernel are not maintained and focus is on A16 now

I had a bit of general testing:

  1. Night light works

  2. Color correction and color contrast works

  3. Sound is now spot on, I can access speakerphone and remove it and everything just works

It is fixed now (things I did not try are fast charging and tethering)
