Was this file from /tmp (just after attempting update) or from /sdcard?
The only errors we can see is about USB OTG…
Maybe should you try to change backup location, or plus a USB storage?

@smu44, I have just tried an update again using TWRP in the following way:

  1. via Hostmachine PC adb sideload *.zip

  2. via USB stick > TWRP > Install *.zip

Every attempt was aborted with the error message: Process Updater ended with error: 1

@ronnz98, I made two attempts at updating:

Baseline N°1
Successfully installed ROM e-1.19.1-t-20240111-UNOFFICIAL-raphael by @ronnz98

  1. via Hostmachine PC adb sideload *.zip

Result: No false alarms. MI 9T Pro boots into the system but stops at the MI logo - nothing happens.

Baseline N°2
The non-booting ROM e-1.20-t-20240315-UNOFFICIAL-raphael by @ronnz98

  • via USB stick > TWRP > Install *.zip

Result: No false alarms. MI 9T Pro boots into the system but stops at the MI logo - nothing happens.

Zenario N°3
Fresh clean install of e-1.20-t-20240312-UNOFFICIAL-raphael by @ronnz98 like here

  • TWRP > ADB sideload e-1.20-t-20240312-UNOFFICIAL-raphael.zip

Immediate installation abort with TWRP error message: Process Updater ended with error: 1

I executed in TWRP: Format data + Wipe: Dalvik / ART Cache, Cache, System, Vendor, Data

Next: adb sideload e-1.19.1-t-20240111-UNOFFICIAL-raphael.zip by @roonz98

No errors were displayed for the entire duration. Then the ‘Raphael’ booted into /e/OS-T without errors and could be set up - as with the successful initial installation on March 12, 2024

Well, just - when updating to a new version I hope that all previous data (apps, photos, videos, downloads, personal files and more) will be preserved. A Format Data eliminates alls.

If anybody successfully installed this version please tell me the process.
Also if you were able to boot any previous version please tell the version name, so I can try that

Shows some error about dynamic op list
Couldn’t take screenshot bcoz instantly reboots recovery after trying to flash rom file after showing that error
Using ofox dynamic recovery (unofficial) which is able to boot every other dynamic rom

@ronnz98 can you look into it
I’ll try to repeat the process if I can take screenshot

Also flashed 11 jan 2024 build able to boot can’t decrypt storage.

Since these builds uses retrofit dynamic partitions, you need to follow these instructions carefully
NOTE: Any other recovery is not supported, only Lineage Recovery will work
NOTE2: This ROM uses FBEv2, any other recovery won’t be able to properly format data making Android unbootable, also forget about any sort of decryption
Seriously, just don’t use any other recovery
NOTE3: FORGET ABOUT CUSTOM KERNELS, THEY WON’T BOOT

  • Make sure your platform-tools (adb and fastboot) are updated
  • Download the zip, recovery image and super_empty.img from the latest release
  • Flash the recovery from fastboot with …
