Update for /e/OS-a15 3.2

I had some problems while building, so it might have issues:

Update applied (downloaded lasted file, treated it as update -from 3.0.1- and sideloaded through adb), so far so good! The stock camera app isn’t working, but I’ve installed Open Camera, and it works well enough. Thank you for the update!

Same issue as ExtraSwagance..The stock camera app isn’t working (opencamera works)

Rom does indeed work now that I have finally managed to unlock this one.

No stock camera however. Any chance that it may work after future upgrade?

Also Gallery app missing

I have made some attempts now an can not get this one running. I get a bootloop or thrown back in recovery. I followed the steps provided in the XDA link

Also tried the LOS version from that link and that does work.

There is mention of signature issues and that the /data/cache directory is not present during install

Unfortunatley the latest one has the same issues as the one before previous. Camera not working, no gallery. Additionally WIFI does not appear to work

How to install using TWRP or OFOX?

Hello @zee, Welcome to the /e/ users forum.

But first, you need to unlock the bootloader, that is not agradable to do on Xiaomi devices

Unlocking the bootloader

Tip: It is highly recommended to have the latest official MIUI dev package installed on the device, before proceeding with unlock.

  1. The below steps would require a machine running Windows 7 or newer to run the Mi Unlock app
  2. Create a Mi account on Xiaomi’s website.
  3. Add a phone number to your Mi account.
  4. Insert a SIM into your phone.
  5. Enable developer options in Settings > About Phone by repeatedly tapping MIUI Version.
  6. Link the device to your Mi account in Settings > Additional settings > Developer options > Mi Unlock status.
  7. Download the Mi Unlock app or v7.6.727.43 . Windows OS is required to run the app.
  8. Run the Mi Unlock app and follow the instructions provided by the app. It may tell you that you have to wait up to 30 days. If it does so, please wait the quoted amount of time before continuing to the next step!
  9. After device and Mi account are successfully verified, the bootloader should be unlocked.
  10. Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging to continue.
