t810 twrp & rom worked for me is stated in this XDA forum entry
I dont see how a T810 ROM could work. The T810 uses the Exynos chipset; the T817 uses the Qualcomm chipset.

I am going to try to install your latest gts210ltexx build on my SM-T817W currently running latest stock firmware (Android 7)…
It is the Canadian variant, with Exynos 5433 SoC.
Droid Info identifies the build fingerprint as “samsung/gts210ltevl/gts210ltecan:7.0/NRD90M/T817WVLU3CQE4:user/release-keys” , in case all that means anything to you.
Several questions:
Which Android version is your build?
Does your build have G-Apps built into it?

There are two SoC variants of the T817. The 2015 variant gts210ltexx has Exynos 5433 SoC. The 2016 variant gts210velte has a SnapDragon SoC.
eOS-R is Android 11. GApps is not included and do not install for eOS
In terms of T817 I do not know much, this is the only information I found:

Soory if this is a newbie question, this is my first experience with eOS, my past experience has all been with LineageOS.
Just looking for a way to bring my SM-T817W gts210ltexx a bit more up to date, and this ROM seems to be actively being maintained.
Can you suggest an alternative ROM if I need to have GApps?

Take LineageOS if you want GApps. I strongly suppose you wont find a custom ROM for SM-T817W though

I am completely open to trying eOS, but just wondering what functionaly or apps i would be losing access to.
Does eOS come with an alternative app store pre-installed? If no, which alternatrive app store would you recommend?
I currently use the SM-817W version and using the following get root:
Flashed stock Android 6 image
Flash twrp_3.0.2-1_sm-t810.tar using latest Odin
Flash latest SuperSU sytemlessBoom everything works (lte, wifi, sound, camera)
. . .Using the same recovery it lets me flash any 810 roms and they work fine (even Nougat versions) except the LTE since the 810 is a wifi only tablet. I see no problem here.
Now I flashed TWRP_3.0.0-1_sm-t815.tar so it would let me flash 815 roms that have LTE. Every rom I flash does not detect the SIM card. Just says it is not inserted. I can obviously get back to my initial setup and have everything work, but would love to use Android 7 on this thing.
So SM-T817 does have an Exynos chipset. The SM-T819 is the Qualcomm model then…

The basic hardware components of the SM-T817W and SM-T815 are identical.
Theoretically, the ROM e-1.19.1-r-20240217-UNOFFICIAL-gts210ltexx.zip by @ronnz98 should work if the ROM identifier is changed from SM-T815 - gts210ltexx TO SM-817W - gts210ltecan.
