That’s the problem! The 2.5 and 2.7 versions you mentioned worked… Something else is missing! I will try to compile 2.5-t again to understand what it is. Or maybe the source tree is “corrupted”.
This is 2.5. version that works and that I’ve just used to “unbrick” Xiaomi Redmi 10, otherwise it would get stuck in a loop between recovery and xiaomi logo.
Well, maybe you do it again, “for the cause”.
You want me to upload it?
No. Only if no other option because i need anyway a clean start. It will take 2-3 hours…

This is what EOS offers without any modification from me except recent app button.
Successfully booted on multiple MediaTek and Exynos devices. Since you have a Snapdragon device, I don’t test those but I can if there’s a need.
I think you have a winning formula here, Mr @Colors
Ok, I needed this confirmation to have where to go next. I will try to add the search function in settings and we will test version 2.7.
This is critical. I added a set of AOSP applications and hope that the GSI still works.
Works for me on everything that I’ve tried. Yey!
Tested now on multiple phones, boots on all. Great job, I also see the new apps and they work too.
That’s the best news in a long time! I’ll have to take a break for a few days. I’m glad I can at least leave things on an optimistic note.
Thank you for your time and effort.

I hope it works… For the first time Applounge finds some updates but obviously can not update because the signature does not match. I have no idea what I could do here…
It works for me.
Regarding AppLounge, I can also see the updates and that was the recommended action on how to get it to work - update it from the Open Source apps. But here it doesn’t make sense - uninstall AppLounge and install it again from AppLounge
I don’t care that much about AppLounge as there are alternatives.
I’ve used your previous build for the past two days and it’s stable, there is no problem with battery life and all seems fine. That’s the most important thing for me
Thanks for the review! App Lounge is a system application, so it can not be uninstalled by the average user. Obviously the notification is of little use. On the other hand, I don’t think we can resolve this conflict about the signature. eOS will use its own signature or probably a development one, but it is preferable to be properly signed even if the device is not used for banking applications.
If everything’s okay with 2.7-t I’ll switch to 2.9-t…
I don’t know if it’s of any help, but when I was fiddling with AP tool, I successfully signed it with this command:
Sign the apk with platform certificate. You can use this command to do that
apksigner sign --key platform.pk8 --cert platform.x509.pem AdvancedPrivacy.apk app-e-release-unsigned.apk
If you are running your tests on an /test
build, you can find keys at target/product/security · v1-q · e / os / android_build · GitLab
I don’t know where to get AppLounge apk though.
You can save any apk from your system with Package Manager.

The last but not the least.
Boots and works.
I don’t know if you changed anything but now AppLounge doesn’t show updates. But I can log in into anonymous mode and it shows all the apps but just hangs when I try to install them.
Haha, it’s so weird.
Also, I’ve just realized that I probably shouldn’t put my IP address in the pictures, this is privacy based OS after all and it’s not a good look
I deleted the pic
