Boot into Gigaset logo, than boot into Android Recovery = does not work

Cross-check

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me either.

Here’s another try!

It’s a bit frustrating because I don’t have a Mediatek device and I’ll have to do a few tries. Before I test on my tablet, where it works but has Snapdragon processor. I’m starting to narrow the search area anyway.

I’ve a lot of patience. If you are too, then we can succeed!

We will, keine Sorge!

Are GSI’s with a13 or newer for devices with ‘aonly’ also possible?

Theoretically, yes… but I have not tried. eOS A14 seems less problematic when compiling perhaps because it’s more aligned with Lineage than A13. For the EOS A13 the “classic” method used at Andy’s LineageOS does not seem to work for all devices.

Which type would that be?

For e/OS/ (Q) I also needed to run some script to swrite something in the system partition if I remember correctly, with every new version.

If you refer to the method of transformation in GSI:

This one works fine on Exynos devices but still doesn’t boot on any MediaTek phone that I try.

Thank you, sethdot! A small step forward.

:heavy_multiplication_x: GS4 MediaTek boots into the Gigaset logo. After a few seconds, boot into Gigaset logo again, then boot into Android Recovery.

Thank you, Xxpsilon! I’ll compile a basic version to make sure I have everything needed in the source tree. I need this confirmation.

Here are a few screenshots, from what I can tell, all the previous problems are fixed in this version:

Wifi connects without any problems, search bar is there in settings, recent app button is working and AppLounge also.

So Exynos users can try it out, I think it’s fine.

Good news! What about GSM telefony? Well, i see LTE icon there…

Haha, if you wonder about that network icon problem on the left, it’s just some old SIM card that was left over in that phone for testing purposes and it expired in the meantime.

Anyway, I inserted a fresh SIM and calls and mobile data are working fine

Then Mediatek remains in sight. I’ll put a test build. Some applications will be missing as well as the search function. The Important thing is that it works on mediatek.

Still no luck for me on Mediatek devices, tested on Samsung A03s, A41 and Xiaomi Redmi 10 and it doesn’t boot :frowning:
