Update default apps

Wondering if there’s a way to update default apps (ie foundation.e.advancedprivacy) without applying a full system update.

e os 2.2 release notes indicate Advance Privacy is now blocking 800 new trackers

Right now I’m on e os 2.0t
Advance privacy is 2.0.1

App Lounge does not report any Advanced Privacy updates.

Thanks.

Your /e/OS system updates would be proposed by Updater, aka System Updater.

This is found as the top item in Settings.

Perhaps you can tell us the full /e/OS version-string you are running if you cannot get an update from the Updater.

Settings > About phone > Android version. If you long press on /e/OS version below or within Android version it will copy to clipboard.

You can download the latest APK for App Lounge here :

Issue ia not with system updater.

I’m trying to find out if Advanced Privacy can be updated without having to apply a full system update.

Thanks.

An updated default App could rely on OS changes which are only present from the correspondingly updated OS version on.
Do you want to have a more unstable system than necessary?

Just update the OS.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could check out this topic, I think I’ve seen a link to an APK file there … Advanced Privacy, source code
