Update fails on Samsung S7 edge, wifi works fine though

Update fails on Samsung S7 edge. The wifi connection is okay but when I try to update from e/OS 2.2. to 2.3 I get erro message.
I can download from normal websites without a problem. At the moment there is no sim card in the device but I can’t imagine that would make a difference.
I get error message download failed. Check internet connection.

Probably a good idea to go to

Settings > Apps > Show all … apps > top right menu > Show system > Search “Updater” (might be System updater) > Storage > Clear Storage. That is storage or data, more than just cache.

Reboot before try again.
