Update frequency for gta4xlwifi builds?

Hi,

I have been happily using p-610 gta4xlwifi build on my device for a while. I understand it’s a community build, but is there any idea how often or if ever it will get updates? Or is it common/supposed users build their own updates?

I have noticed the switch from app to another by using gestures quits working once in a while. This might be something which is corrected in later e-os, so I was wondering how do I get updated?

I’m such a newbie that I’ve never received an update to my device yet, so no idea how this works…

Community builds are made by the e.foundation servers about every month,

unfortunately, latest 2.9 from the end of march is missing for your device on android-14-U branch, even available on android-13-T branch :

next (probably 2.10) is expected soon…

  • a few days after the release on the website, you will receive a notiffication through the built-in system updater and you can launch the update from there.
  • if you don’t want to wait for this notification, you can download the new build and apply the update from the built-in system updater’s local update feature, or boot the phone into recovery mode to apply the update.

Thanks a lot for the explanation. I just happened to hit a bad month. Good to know, I used to build my own version of custom android myself for my old tablet years ago, and didn’t fancy getting into it again. Happy to hear this receives regular updates.

Hmmm, another month, another missed build. There must be some bit sideways in CI/CD pipeline. Who could check it?

You could read the weekly update in the section Development Updates ← is a link.

Here we read that the release that might have been expected about end April is still in testing.

Thanks, so false worries so far. I hadn’t noticed such feed, I put a notification on for the channel. Interesting feed, thanks for the link.
