I installed EOS 2.9 in my brand new Pixel 8a and followed the instructions for the device.
It would be nice to include the boot.img, dtbo.img, vendor_kernel_boot.img and the vendor_boot.img in the zip file as single files.
I was not aware that they are included in the payload.bin and that I can extract them with FastbootEnhance. That took some time to find out.
Lineage is one version ahead - so you can’t use those.
The prior AquarisX (Bardock) install on my old phone went a lot smoother.
Thx for the work and for making things public available.
I actually got confused by that first time I installed /e/os. There’s two download links that appear on the same line. That’s unusual to see on a downloads page. Not realizing those are two different links can land you in a world of confusion. Fortunately I realized that before too long.
Link is named “/e/OS Recovery for community build” … newest version community - check - klick.
… and of course I picked the wrong one. :o)
Even after having inconsistency between the documentation and my download I did not realize that there are two different files. So my bad - little bit to tiered I guess …

would be more intuitive for me - but thats just my opinion.
Will not happen again to me after that headache.
