as you can see in the screenshot, I have been stuck in 1.17s since November, and my phone doesn’t show new updates.

Android 13 (T) dev is available.
Upgrading dev to a newer underlying Android version means installing a newer build manually, remember to backup your important stuff on the phone to somewhere safe beforehand … https://doc.e.foundation/devices/FP4.
If you are not running dev for specific reasons, you might consider using the opportunity to switch to stable (which would also be a manual new install). Users of the stable builds got so-called OTA upgrades via the updater from Android 11 to 12 and now from 12 to 13 (see announcements in https://community.e.foundation/tag/development-updates, currently section “OS OTA Related information”.
No guarantee for anything in the future, though.
Thank you for your detailed explanation and guidance, it is much appreciated. I remember going from A11 to A12 with the regular updater. Too bad I have to do this manually now.
