any ideas how to get it back plaese?
Thank you!
Hi @onno welcome to the /e/ forum.
Assuming you are using the default launcher, Bliss, try this
Settings > Apps and notifications > See all … apps > BlissLauncher > Storage & cache > Clear storage
- This will have the effect of undoing any of your organisation of icons and folder of icons, all are expected alphabetical after this.
thank you very much, but the icon did not come back…
Is the app confirmed working by
Settings > Apps and notifications > See all … apps > Tinder > Open
and /or if you look up Tinder in App Lounge, does this give the opportunity to open it ?
… or, I wonder, did you install the PWA ?
Settings > Apps and notifications > See all … apps > Tinder is not listed
App Lounge > Tinder > Open is confirmed working
I searched but am unsure what PWA is, i installed it from AppLounge
What is a progressive web app? - Progressive web apps | MDN.
I mention this as icons might work differently [1] on a PWA and App Lounge seems to offer Tinder as such and I have seen PWAs not seen in Settings > Apps.
[1] App deleted but still showing as installed in App Lounge
thank you yes i have the one at the top it says PWA.
But instead of “INSTALL” in my AppLounge it says “OPEN”, wich it does if i press it…
I would guess that the PWA keeps your data off the device.
To fix lack of icon you could consider to try to uninstall then reinstall. From our experience on the linked thread, this may not be straightforward, idk.
but it used to be there, it vanished after i updated AppLounge…
How can i uninstall an app in AppLounge? (probably a stupid question, but cannot find it)
Yes I remember what you wrote at the start of the thread but as I said
You may be interested to know that another way to install the PWA is to open this link in the default browser > top right 3 dot menu > Add to home screen
You could check the versions of each app and think of trying to give feedback on the platform.
thank you very much!
The icon is back. I think it installed a new version? (had to verify again)
