I own a Pixel Tablet bought at murena. It came with A14. There have been several updates since reception. But they always kept using A14. Isn’t there a more recent version of the OS ?
Fresh install :
/e/OS official tangorpro download
/e/OS community tangorpro download
Update or Upgrade :
There is a community Android 16 version of /e/OS for your device, but you are currently on official. I guess you are not keen to manually re-install /e/OS to change to community, so I recommend you keep an eye on Manoj’s weekly updates to see when you are getting Android 16 for official via the Updater.

Thanks !
Indeed, the 1st link only shows the official versions with a14 while the 2nd links to a16 versions. From what I understand the a16 versions are community and not official.
Is there a mean to follow development progress through RSS or something like that ? I don’t want to brick my device since I use it daily and it’s marked as “To Be Planned”.
It’s not that I’m not keen on switching to community : I’m already using Debian Testing everywhere to participate in Debian development. But I do not have the luxury to buy several tablets ![]()
Android has an extra hurdle compared to Debian stable. The different Release types are explained in the link.
Android version upgrade automatically is a “Google only” service, it is not shared with AOSP.
The big step for /e/ devs is to build and test the OTA upgrade which is available only for the official releases. Official often lags for this reason; own opinion, developing the OS from development to stable is probably less significant in terms of release timing.
Edit. No RSS is needed to follow weekly-updates , just follow the hashtag and forum subscribe using the
