I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (T999L variant) and I wanted to use the eApp Store (not App Lounge) and Aurora Store on a phone that can also have the Google Play Store with Google Services because there are some apps that don’t work when downloaded from the eApp Store, some that don’t work when downloaded from Aurora Store on the latest eOS for my device (e-0.9-n-20200715-UNOFFICIAL-d2tmo) and then there are some apps that don’t work when downloaded from the Google Play Store on the custom ROM I’m using (OCT-N-M2-20170825-d2tmo). My idea is to use the OctOS ROM and install the eApp Store, Aurora Store and Google Play Store so whatever apps don’t work from one of the stores can be downloaded from another. To do this, I went into TWRP, performed a normal wipe, flashed the eOS, and copied the Apps.apk in the /system/apps/Apps folder into the /sdcard/Download folder. Then I flashed the OctOS ROM, made an empty directory called ‘Apps’ in the /system/apps folder of the OctOS and finally copied the Apps.apk file in the /sdcard/Download folder into the /system/apps/Apps folder that I made in the OctOS ROM. When I booted the device, the Apps app was in the app drawer but when I open it or try to search for an app on it, it says the server took too long to respond, please try again later. How can I get it to work so that I can download apps? I currently haven’t installed microG or Google Play Store or Google Services, does the eApp Store need one of those to function? Can it function with Google Play Services if I install Google Play Store?
