Using Google speakers on e/os without Google Cast

I want to move to e/os (on Fairphone 6) and one thing that has been holding me back is the inability to use Google speakers that I already have without Google Cast. However, I have found 2 solutions: 1) the Bubble UPnP app which allows you to play from Tidal or Qobuz to Google speakers without Google Cast; 2) activating Bluetooth on Google speakers and playing to them on Bluetooth - audio quality will not be so good but it works. I have spent ages researching how to solve this and eventually came to these 2 solutions so wanted to post them here in case others are looking for an answer to the same problem. Of course, I can get rid of the Google speakers and replace them and will do but that’s expensive so here are answers for the meantime. I posted on this before but got no answers: Using google speakers on e/os

that’s pretty good feedback for the forum. Here’s a clickable link to BubbleUPnP for DLNA / Chromecast / Smart TV for the curious.

Reads like DLNA and maybe (unsure) storage-access-framework (SAF) is what makes (1) possible?

tidal/qobuz downloading, being accessible via SAF to bubbleupnp, the latter offering via DLNA to the speakers

Could be, I don’t have enough expertise to be sure. On my stock Android phone I disabled Google Play Services and the Cast option disappeared but I was still able to connect so know it wasn’t Google Cast. Thanks for the reply!
