Verify platform-tools (adb, fastboot)

I have no reason to trust google. And they do not sign android releases.
Can anyone confirm this is what they download as well?
The SHA256 of the zip-file:

You can install the platform tools via your Linux distribution and only resort to the Google download page in case of version trouble (which can happen).

So, our downloads are complete, it would seem, and if in absence of the SHA256 hash info from Google somebody injected malware into the download, we got the same malware .
