Yesterday Vipps completely stopped working for me on /e/OS. I started getting “Noko gjekk gale, prøv igjen litt seinere.”, which translates to “Something went wrong, try again a bit later.”. Until recently, the app worked completely fine for around three months. Now I cannot get into the app, I can’t pay using Vipps, and I cannot even log in again, since I am getting the same error all over and over. Does anyone know a solution to this issue?
I have the same issue, for about a week. Tried clearing cache, same result; tried reinstalling app, same result. I allowed one of the trackers (MixPanel), same result; I’m not willing to try to allow the Google Firebase tracker (yet). At the moment, I’m trying to log in a few times a day.
I am having the same problem. I was so relieved the past few months that I did not have to redownload the app every time I used it anymore. But now I cannot even complete the reinstallation anymore before getting an error.
Has anyone found a workaround for it?
I’ve found no workaround, am considering to get a cheap phone only to install vipps on it– it would be my vippsinator.
I think Vipps and Mobilepay are the same application under the hood, after the two companies merged some years ago? There are many many people on this forum unable to get Mobilepay working. The latest thread is MobilePay issues continued unfortunately, it seems that this is caused by app developer’s decision to rely on Play Integrity checks. So the reliable way to fix this is to convince them to reconsider that decision and thus allow de-googled and other custom ROMs.
Thank you for linking! Good to see that there are many people trying to find different ways forward.
I have sent a forslag to Vipps about it, but by their own admission they read everything but do not reply, so I’m not holdening my breath. Just hoping their will be enough complaints that they adapt.
Hi! I had the same issue, Vipps stopped working suddenly!
This fixed it for me and now I can login and use Vipps as normal (per August 10th 2026):
Download from Aurora Store: Click manual download and choose the version from February 2026!
Hope this helps the way it worked for me!
@Kaxy Thank you so much, it worked on the 2nd download!
