VoLTE support for Indian Telecom Subscribers

I am using a handset Gigaset Brand model number GS290, made in Germany, unlocked, international version running with eOS 1.8.1.
Although the handset supports VoLTE & VoWiFi services with all major European cellular operators (stock Google ROM), why eOS is not compatible here in India with Jio service? When I insert a Jio sim, I can see LTE in the signal, I can also use internet, but cannot make voice calls since it doesn’t switch to VoLTE. Kindly advice.

I have the same problem… Jio sim, mobile data works but can’t make receive calls

Situations like this usually mean that the OEM got the device certified for VoLTE with some carriers in some regions, but not certified for VoLTE with all carriers in all regions.

Additionally, the mobile network provider needs to support this for the plan you have with them. Did Jio support confirm that VoLTE is provisioned for you from their side?
