VPN Stopping Email & Apps on Gigaset GS290

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone also has VPN issues. I am using a VPN and all was fine but in the last couple of days when activated I can no longer get email, use New Pipe app or get on the internet. I have recently purchased the Gigaset GS290 and all was working fine until a couple of days ago. As far as I am aware I have not changed any settings and the VPN seems to be working with other phones & laptops. Any help or advice gratefully received. Thank you. Bes.
