Wacom drawing tablet privacy

Sorry if this is slightly off-topic (as it is not related to /e/ or apps).

But it is about privacy, and this community is always very helpful.

I may need a drawing tablet for my work.
Does anyone happen to know the privacy habits of this company?
I scrolled through the privacy statement which doesn’t seem very promising.

After contacting them, they state their driver does not gather any private information from the customer, and also that they preach privacy by design:

Curious to know if anyone has any information / experience on this topic.

Hi,

I guess it depends a lot on the OS you’re using (no problem with those tablets when using Linux).

PS: https://teddit.net/r/privacy is a decent place for seeking answers about privacy topics.

Hi Genjuro,

Thanks so much !
Yes, that confirms my suspicion.
(And it’s fascinating how one never gets an honest answer when you ask such company about privacy, just a lot of smokescreen bullshit.)

I guess I’ll stick to my stylus-on-trackpad solution.

PS. thanks for the teddit tip.
