Webdev fairphone not working

Hi there!

I just burned trough 40gb of phone data because my fairphone was downloading all the photos i was syncing to the murena cloud. I’ve turned syncing off and would now like to use rclone on my phone to only sync my new camera photos one way to the cloud.

I however cannot get webdav to work. Can anyone explain me what im doing wrong? This method just works when i connect to murena using fedora built in webdav.

Im asked for the following info:
url: https://murena.io/remote.php/dav/files/USERNAME (ive also tried replacing https wit davs)
vendor: nextcloud, also tried rclone and other as an option
username: USERNAME also tried USERNAME@murena.io
password: tried my general murena password here plus a app password dC9DX-9pBRk-RC9tN-fQ8dN-xMgtw (which has been revoked now).

it all does not work. can anyone help explain me what im doing wrong ? ive also tried another app and rclone on fedora, all do not work.

thank you.

rclone in the other thread was a suggestion for cli2webdav - but for phone - if the inbuilt eDrive isn’t flexible enough (because of what folders to sync), the official nextcloud client has that configurability and is a solid choice.

Another condition is allowing client-sync in the nextcloud settings? - Problem with file sync after service-outage - #2 by tcecyk

As for RoundSync - I couldn’t get got it to work in the version 2.5.6 with a rclone.conf import that is proven to work with rclone itself - but I changed vendor to “other” instead of “nextcloud” (because this issue comment). What I was also missing was creating a task that actually setups a sync.

Thank you for the reply!

I indeed tried nextcloud and now i can safely push my photos to murena cloud. For now this is sufficient.I initially wanted to avoid this because i thought murena discouraged users to use nextcloud.
