    • Team detected an issue with the OTA update on the FP4. There is a build with the fix now but we need to test it before releasing it to all. There is an open call for testers to help with this.
      Update 21 April FP4 stable /e/OS R v0.23 builds have been released.

Devices which did not receive v0.22/23

Status: Released

• All the devices in the list from previous weeks have been released on v0.23
• If your device has not received the v0.23 build Pl share the device codename in this thread. You will find the code-name in the Name column here

OS OTA Upgrade

s7 /s7 edge

Status: Testing

• We are testing of the OTA OS upgrade for s7 / s7 edge.
• Volunteers who can help with this testing required

Oreo and Nougat devices

• We will try to upgrade devices where possible. Builds are failing for devices on these two operating systems. We may eventually have to drop support for devices stuck on Oreo and Nougat unless we get ROM Maintainers willing to build and debug issues for Oreo and Nougat

GSI

• GSI builds for v0.23 has been released.

• GSI sources are available here

ROM Builders - Unofficial and Custom

• A new Docker image has been released
• Those building using traditional repo sync method refer android_prebuilts_prebuiltapks_lfs
  • You will have to install git-lfs (sudo apt-get install git-lfs)
  • After completing a repo sync, you will have to run repo forall -c 'git lfs pull'

Reason behind these changes:

• Due to the large size of the android_prebuilts_prebuiltapks we have switched to using LFS, and now you will need to refer to android_prebuilts_prebuiltapks_lfs

• We will publish some documentation around this

Development Activity

• Bliss launcher upgrading and existing issue resolution
• eDrive code refactoring to optimize the application
• Updating Applications where forked …ongoing task
• EasyInstaller to adapt to upgrade OS builds…investigation only
• v1.0 work in progress, should be the next release. Tentatively looking at a release date for all users of the 24th May 2022

This is a subset of what the team is working on. Most of these tasks are under development and testing phase. Some of the issues will be confidential and not visible to all users.

Teracube 2e and emerald
Teracube users please note there are two different versions of the device now. 2020 released devices are classified as 2e on our site, and those released in 2021 are code named emerald. We have added a warning in the guides to help users. 2e guide and emerald guide.

Gigaset GS290

• We have stopped the sales of the Gigaset GS290 on the eSolutionsShop as the vendor has stopped production of the device. We will continue support for existing users.

• Vendors whose phones we sell on our eSolutions Store do not directly sell /e/OS flashed devices.
• The vendors only sell their devices with their own stock ROM.
• To get pre flashed /e/OS phones, you have to purchase them from the eSolutions Shop.

I am assuming you mean the monthly security patches. As you may be aware, we do not release the security patches. They come from Google and are not available for Nougat OS. The few versions we released were when we had developers backport them. That also are not available at the moment for Nougat to the best of my understanding.

I don’t see ‘/e/OS v0.24’ on Gitlab, only ‘/e/OS Alicante’.

OK, but as far as I understand it, there will be an ‘alpha’ - ‘beta’ and ‘RC(release candidate?)’ first.
Are these also going to be available through the DEV-channel?

The alpha, beta and RC go to the testers to check out. Users will get the final v1.0 build.

I have updated my FP4 to 0.23 stable. Everything works fine. One little issue I have found. File Manager App icon has no name anymore.

If I remember correctly, it’s a translation string issue which doesn’t affect every language.

and after the update the name is now completely gone as mentioned by @PainfulCoffee

Hello, not sure this is the place.
The devlog mentions something about adding missing colors to /e/ themes.
I assume this is in the menu Settings>Screen>Styles.
But when I try to pick a color for a style in this menu, blue is the only one available.
I’m not sure this was not in the previous version but I wanted to report the bug.
I’m using stable on a fairphone 4, freshly updated through the settings.

Yes please raise Issue.
I did once. Accent color is not applied system wide. Only blue is available. It s been a long time but it doesnt get priority.
