I just got my first phone with /e/OS and I’m strugling a bit with the calendar app. I synchronised the default calendar app with my outlook calendar. And it seems to work fine. But I need a weekly or monthly widget and the app doesn’t offer that. I tried downloading Fossify and Onecalendar that offer that widget but i can’t syncronize either of them with the default app. There doesn’t seem to be any option to do so.
Any idea how to do it? Or any recomendations of an app that has that type of wiget et can synchronise with the local calendar? Or that can synchronise directly with outlook?
I use aCalender for this purpose. Works great. It “mixes” (the view of) my private calendar (Murena) with my work calendar (Office 365). The last one syncs via TypeApp with my phone by the way.
I wonder if Outlook being a data source for the calendar events plays into this. Fossify Calendar can use any Caldav Calendars on the phone (through the switch “CalDAV Synchronization” in its Settings then checkmark any of the offered). That is, people with murena.io accounts would have caldav calendars.
As to the widget views, can you post a screenshot example of any app of what it ideally looks like?
The default calendar has weekly/month view, but you want them as widgets on the launcher?
This one is Business calendar, which I used on my old phone but according to the App Lounge it’s a 0/10 on privacy and privacy was one of the reasons I switched to /e/OS. And I can’t find an app with good privacy settings that also happens to have a weekly widget. I can use the monthly widget from fossify but I’d prefer a weekly view.
