What exactly is the Android OS traffic

I notice that a fair portion of internet bandwidth is used by “Android OS” . I can only find vague information on the web. Does anyone know exactly what this traffic is for and where it goes?

Thank you!

I don’t have such a traffic. Could it be the synchronisation between your phone and your /e/ cloud ? (In that case I think it should be “/e/ Drive” instead of “Android OS” so it’s probably something else).

@Anonyme. Iteresting. I have had Android OS using bandwidth on all ROMs I have tried and on Google Android as well. It is not some sort of cloud storage as I always turn that off. I run few apps. I have MicroG turned off on /e/. It still remains a mystery.
