What is the e/os explained?

Okay, so I am a long user of murena. Recently installed e/os.
As I found out, apparently it is not 100% avoiding google services, but rather using it while masking, hiding and proxying. I think for the average user, who just wants to be data minimalistic, that is enough.

Can anyone give one or two lines more about the e/os philosophy?

Degoogled mean to me that I’m not in Big Tech bubble, so I don’t buy their products and so they have less money to exist on. I spend on local companies that are subject to real rules.

And the phones are better (without being technical).

Nice, but how is that related to my question?

I was not clear, I meant using /e/ Murena preserves me from Google.
