Afternoon all, first post here. I’ve been using e/OS for approximately 3 months as a major step towards de-googling. So far I am very happy and everything works for me as I expect.
Except for one frustrating issue - my password manager won’t auto-fill login fields in my Browser (Brave). I have tried both Proton Pass and Bitwarden, but both behave the same - they will auto-fill for apps, but not in the Browser.
Can others share their experience of password managers on e/OS? I have searched the forum already and people are recommending Bitwarden a lot (I want a cloud password manager that can sync between mobile and desktop), but there is no mention of the issue I have.
Is it something to do with the default keyboard in e/OS? Or should I try a different browser? I am interested in your experience before I spend hours trying lots of different things to make this work…

I used both bitwarden and proton pass on e/os without any issue. I’m still using proton pass right now.
Maybe your troubles come from the browser app and not the password manager? I’m using Firefox on my device, and never tried brave.
Here are a few things you could try :
Maybe check if brave has a password filling option and if so, disable it.
Also try another browser (the default one, maybe) to check if youbhave the same issue.
Finally, maybe another keyboard. I use futo keyboard because it’s privacy friendly, open source, and has glide-typing. It actually works very well with proton pass.
I am using “NC Passwords” connected to the murena cloud. It depends on a direct internet connection and is not working outside the network. This was a problem, when the murena cloud did not work…
Thanks @jabsu for the suggestion of Futo Keyboard! I have added that and I like the look of it! As soon as I have tested login/password filling I will report back. I am hoping to not have to change my Browser…
Hi all, well I had no luck initially just adding Futo keyboard - still no autofill working in Brave, nor the inbuilt browser. @jabsu you mentioned that you were using Firefox, so I decided to give that a go - hey presto! The Autofill is working in Firefox! So I am switching from Brave to Firefox, and that finally gives me the solution I’m looking for! Thanks for the tips, and hope this helps someone else
