Hi, I am running /e/OS on a Oneplus 8T and I have the same exact problem.
@Manoj do you know what could prompt this problem ?

Hello,

I installed whatsapp with the Aurora store and it runs.

What device do you use and what version of /e/OS do you have?

I uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp from Aurora (again) and same error happened.
Here is a screenshot of what I get (it’s in French but you get the gist) :

I’ve a FP6 with e/OS 3.1.2, but i haven’t uninstall and reinstall with this version. I will try today :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for your reply and for your help.
I don’t understand what’s wrong…

Got the same problem on an Samsung S8 with latest 3.3 version of e-os. Installed it several times via the official store. Then the apk from the official WhatsApp side. Then aurora store. Same error (unofficial version). Must be a verification error.

I even contacted whatsApp, but they just say use the official App.

So any suggestions? And please do not close this topic.

So whatsapp needs google play protect and a locked bootloader - Will it still work on E-os?

And What when downloading the APP from WhatsApp page directly : https://www.whatsapp.com/android?lang=en

Other OS’s reported same issue and this resolved addressed issue. Good luck.
