My FP4 tells me that there is /e/OS 3.0.4 available since yesterday.
Gitlab releases do not say so.
Weird.
Where do the changes come from when Gitlab doesn’t know shiat about it?
Or where can I find proper release notes without portalling to the near future?
Hi Andi
Releasenotes should already or soon be in the corresponding 3.0.4 release topic named Feedback for v3.0.4
Simply search for 3.0.4

You can find the early thread with a description here:
It takes a bit for new discussions and release threads to appear (get more active) so you find them easily.
Well, Releases · e / os / 🚀 Releases · GitLab is the place where the stuff happens.
There is a repo, there are Pull Requests, there are branches, there are releases.
So logically there should be a release with release notes when something is released.
Actually it seems as if some PR are forcibly pushed into a repo after a release is announced and the whole Gitlab is just a mirror to show off.
And again, with another flavor, on the same plate though:
there is no way to find out what’s new in the available beta versions.
On the FP4, when enebled, the offered beta version of /e/OS 3.1-beta and 3.1-beta.2 don’t show any link to any notes what’s up with them. What do they deliver? I can copy the URL to the clipboard, though. Yawn.
Sitting at my desktop trying to do the research in an eye friendly manner it’s the same, there is none to be found.
I only find the (late coming) release notes of the latest official release.
Why hide the stuff until days after release?
There is no proper sense in it.It’s like a dogma:
“get it, wait, see what you got later, but not for beta, there’s none to know for you, mature citizens”
I guess you will have seen
If you go on to read the section … and join the Testing community you can begin to get at least an idea of the “direction of travel”.
However if things are being tested it does not mean that they are ready for release notes.
My opinion /e/OS does not aim to be “bleeding edge” but users get to discuss the “best effort” published product here on the forum.
Is it possible to find out when the next release is planned as well? I still have the version from July 8th.
We read that in the Development Updates section every Monday.
This week we read the explanation for the delay in the expected release.
