I bought an SD card which would only make my Fairphone 3 crash, no matter if I set it as external or internal storage. Hence, a collection of SD-cards would probably be useful for others that successfully or unsuccessfully tested SD-cards with /e/OS on Fairphone 3. I would like to buy a working one, so would you please paste your SD-cards and whether they can be used or not? I begin:

Important! Don’t use your SD card as Internal Storage.
Don’t remember which exact model it is but I have a 128 GB SanDisk card, too.
Does you SD card work in another device (if you have one)?

I don’t know whether you still need an answer, but I was just having the same question and searching for an answer. In the fairphone forum, I found a hint that says:
Fairphone sais that the capacity of MicroSD cards should not exceed 400 GB. If some users are successfully using MicroSD cards of 512 GB or even 1 TB, the experience can be posted in this wiki as well

So the reason for your crash might be a caused by HW limit (FP) instead of SW limit (/e/ OS)
