Hey there! I have some problems with WiFi and the connection network.
e/OS has a Private DNS option in Network and Internet, usually I have Quad9 DNS active either for WiFi or SIM carrier data but lately I’ve been having a lot of problems with the speed and the connection as well. Several offline states connection have been appeared. So I would like to know how the Private DNS its structured to look for a solution.
- Do Quad9 DNS settings has DNS1-2 and which one has e/OS include in this presetting?
- Automatic DNS do has any preferences rules for connection? Or do connect randomly with the first option available? ( for example, my data carrier phone is Moviestar, so default DNS is Telefonica’s DNS but I’d rather prefer to have some better actor in the middle as 9.9.9.11)
- For WiFi connection, where we can select static IP settings, do we have, as users of e/OS, to change as well the configuration of a WiFi network for a much better performance even with Private DNS in Quad9 mode?
I’m asking this because I’ve already tried these configuration to avoid offline status or discontinued connection:
- Private DNS in Quad9 with default DCHP settings ( Disconnected or offline status sometimes appears)
- Private DNS in Quad9 with static IP and Quad9 settings ( like 9.9.9.11/149.112.112.11) ( still has offline status or even no connection at all)
- With Automatic DNS seems to works, but after airplane mode use need to restart the phone to received any kind of signal.
