Wifi Domain Android 11

Hello,

I use e/OS 1.7 that corresponds to Android 11, on FP3+. For Safety reasons, for some wifi networks, typically at my company, to log to the wifi, I am asked for filling in fields named “Domain” and “Identity”, that nobody knows…

Is there a way, maybe less secure, to connect to these wifis without being ask to fill in these fields?

Thank you for your help,

Thomas

Actually, I set CA certificate on “Do not validate”
It tells me “No certificate specified. Your connection will not be private”
This is the wifi of my company, I don’t know how hazardous it could be?
What is the difference with other devices that do not ask for a domain name?

Thank you for your help

This is a requirement that Android 11 added. WPA-EAP without actual certificate validation is not much better than PSK, since it still allows an attacker to trivially MITM you.

Your company should have IT either document the certificates if configured properly or just configure them properly if they aren’t.
