Wifi problem on Shift6mq

Hello,
i have trouble with my wifi on my Shift6mq. It’s running with /e/OS 3.6-a15 axolotl community build. i think i have the trouble since december when i updatet from the android 13 /e/OS to the android 15 /e/OS. The main problem is, that my wifi speed is really slow. it’s maximum 40MBit/s but in the options it’s showing it has a 866MBit/s wifi connection. According to mistral there is a Problem with the cnss-deamon that is also crashing according to logfox.
I hope somebody can help me with this big problem.

Here is the output of “adb logcat | findstr /i “cnss-daemon wifi wlan””

Hello,

I have the same Wi-Fi problem on my Shift phone 8 running e/OS.

The issue happens on every Wi-Fi network I try, not just at home. My phone repeatedly fails to stay connected and I can see in the Wi-Fi debug info that the connection is marked as NETWORK_SELECTION_TEMPORARY_DISABLED with CONSECUTIVE_FAILURES.

I also noticed that both MLO links (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) show MLO_LINK_STATE_UNASSOCIATED even when the phone appears connected.

I have already tried:

  • Forgetting and re-adding the network
  • Rebooting the router and the phone
  • Disabling “Mobile data always active” in developer options
  • Setting a static IP address

Nothing helps. The problem occurs on all Wi-Fi networks, which makes me think it is a software issue with e/OS 3.7 - 11 april 2026 and Android 14 on this device.

Could you share more details about your fix or any workaround? And is there an official bug report filed for this?

Thank you!

Hello,
well my wifi connections look stable, but just really slow. And i also rebooted my phone and updatet now to Version 3.7a15, but the problem is still there and i don’t have any solution or workaround yet.
I just filed an official bug report today, know that i know, that i’m not the only one with wifi problems with this phone.

But also the com.qualcomm.qti.cne App keeps crashing with the folowing message:

18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: FATAL EXCEPTION: IWlanDataService 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: Process: .qtidataservices, PID: 26550 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Active data call must not have a failure! 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.telephony.data.DataCallResponse.(DataCallResponse.java:231) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.telephony.data.DataCallResponse.(Unknown Source:0) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.telephony.data.DataCallResponseBuilder.build(DataCallResponse.java:952) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at vendor.qti.iwlan.IWlanDataService.convertDataCallResult(IWlanDataService.java:307) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at vendor.qti.iwlan.IWlanDataServiceIWlanDataServiceProvider$1.handleMessage(IWlanDataService.java:103) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:109) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.os.Looper.loopOnce(Looper.java:232) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:317) 18:31:25.817 vendor.qti.iwlan AndroidRuntime: at android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java:85)

This is not something which I see in your log @Sardorkar but it maybe worth a check how the router deals with IPv4 / IPv6.

I don’t find relevant threads but perhaps some /e/OS phones are less happy with IPv6 (??)

i tested it also on a IPv4 only connection and it’s still slow. But the strange thing is that the download is limited to 40MBit/s but the Upload is going up to 100Mbit/s.
