i don’t know exactly where to put this one…
I have been in Georgia (the country in Caucasus) for more that one year now, and I noticed a huge problem on the georgian keyboard. I am not really sure about it, but it looks like the letter თ (U+10D7 a “t”) is replaced on the keyboard by the letter Თ (U+1C97 which is probably an old form of the letter). So, when writing in georgian, there are some fun things happening.
Please, can anyone set the correct letter (U+10D7) to let me not insult these nice but very strong people?
Shift key is used to access the letters that do not fit, for example, pressing “T” would type “ტ” without shift and “თ” with shift. There was an issue that cropped up a few years ago in AOSP keyboard where pressing shift would not only show the rest of the letters, but also needlessly capitalize them i.e what should have been თ came out as Თ. The expected behavior is that pressing shift should give access to the rest of the letters without capitalizing them. The letters in question are ჭ, ღ, თ, ჟ, შ, ძ, ჩ
Yes, this is accurate. To access the თ (which is not a capital ტ), we need to press the shift key. Thanks for the link. I will try to switch the keyboard app.
