Xiaomi 14 Houji, request

It is one of the best-selling Xiaomis of recent years and has an expanding community

I concur.

I’d very much like to be able to install e/os on mine

I concur as well. Am shocked this device is not listed yet.
Please be so kind as to create this one?

Regards

For this device to work, it must first be supported by Lineage OS. The Xiaomi 13 is currently supported, but not the 14 ! This /e/OS project depends on LineageOS, If a device is not supported by LineageOS it is not supported by /e/OS … May be ask LineageOS to support it!

Given that this device’s screen flickers excessively, it’s not worth spending time on…

Lineage supported devices

Hi,

What do you mean ‘flickers excessively’? I never noticed strange things regarding to it’s screen?

This page says LineageOs does have support, but the model is not on the list …

This is not an official lineage os website. Please only refer to official lineage OS website

About screen flickering this is thing you can check with another camera or notebookcheck. Luckily you seem not sensible to this screen flickering but lot of users are:

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

:information_source:

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Screen flickering / PWM detected 429 Hz

The display backlight flickers at 429 Hz (worst case, e.g., utilizing PWM) .

The frequency of 429 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.
