Just to share my issue.
After flashing /e/ rom, I lost my fingerprint.
To fix, create a guess user and fill your fingerprint, that provides /data/system/users/XX/settings_fingerprint.xml (XX for 10 or 11).
a) copy /data/system/users/11/settings_fingerprint.xml to your user id0 /data/system/users/0/settings_fingerprint.xml.
b) Be care about rights with chmod and chown of previous file.
c) Edit the file and modify the file /data/system/users/0/settings_fingerprint.xml
change the id to 0.
The file look like
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8' standalone='yes' ?>
<fingerprints>
<fingerprint fingerId="XXXXXXXX" name="Doigt 1" groupId="0" deviceId="0" />
<fingerprint fingerId="XXXXXXXX" name="Doigt 2" groupId="0" deviceId="0" />
</fingerprints>
Save and reboot…
