Did you know that Murena MDM can access your camera, microphone, location, and even nearby devices—whenever it wants, without your consent?
That’s right: you can’t revoke these permissions, you can’t disable the app, and you have zero control over what it does with your data.
But it gets worse:
The app can request a full list of all installed packages on your device.
It can take photos and record video at any time, because it runs in the background and can launch itself whenever it pleases.
It has unlimited internet access and can sync your data with other apps via DataSync.
It can silently start any service on your device—without you ever knowing.
This means it can activate your camera, microphone, or location services even if you think they’re turned off.
People have already raised concerns about this app here, but after two months, nothing has changed: you still can’t disable it, it still transmits data, and the code remains closed.
So, is this just another “anøm” situation, or is Murena’s real business model about selling your personal data?
Maybe it’s time for a new slogan:
Your data is OUR data
