I want to know if people are using YouTube revanced and if it’s working fine on /e/. Recently I am having troubles and it keeps telling me things like Playback error (App is outdated?) IPADOS: 400 response: Bad request. Or different. Usually it works anyway, but seems like playback sometimes stops and does not want to resume for some time, or the whole application crashes.
On my Xiaomi 15T pro with HyperOS 3 this app works just fine and I am having problems only on my older phone Galaxy S10 with project /e/
I am using Revanced manager v3.0.22 from https://vanced.to, so maybe the one from https://revanced.app/ would work better? Seems like these are different projects with different version numbers.
I’m also getting bugs/warnings from the app. I think it is due to the age of the default version of the patched apps (July 2025 for YouTube). However, afaik, the only reliable source for ReVanced is revanced.app, I wouldn’t use it from anywhere else if I were you.
Are you aware that revanced contains a fork of microG so that issues can arise where that fork contents can conflict with microG version already in /e/OS. It is not just a version conflict; microG is adjusted unsupported by microG.
I have uninstalled the vanced.to YouTube, Revanced manager and it’s MicroG and tried the one from revanced.app. I have to say it was really difficult to understand what to do and without AI I would have big trouble :-] There was no YouTube in the app selection to patch, maybe because I have uninstalled all YouTube apps, but when I searched it showed me some youtube package name and version without an icon, so I went to apkmirror.com and downloaded the recommended version app.revanced.android.gms-250932004-signed.apk. This I could patch in the patcher, install and when I opened it I got message that MicroG is missing and it opened the website to download it.
So I suppose this thing cannot work with built-in /e/ MicroG if it says it’s missing right?
Anyway when I have installed this I had the same playback problems as with the previous version, so no improvement :-\
So I have installed newpipe from their website (App Lounge did not work). I have done the google takeout of my subscriptions and it’s BROKEN. After importing the ZIP file there is only a handful of my many subscription imported and the app is actually broken and NOTHING plays. Only the loading circle shows. Or maybe I broke something by experimenting with MicroG installations? Is newPipe dependent on MicroG?
EDIT: In the notifications I see NewPipe encountered a problem HTTP 403 probably because of IP blocking.
I’m facing the same problem. Tried with Vanced, RVX and ReX. After a minute into video, it freezes. When manually forwarding the video about 20 or 40 second further, the video resumes playback but with total loss of video quality.
Let’s wait for few days for the new patches to roll out.
