3.4 upgrade reset my settings

Hey everyone,

Today I installed the 3.4 upgrade. The download was very slow but it eventually completed, and upon rebooting, I found that the update reset my dock and launcher app layout. All apps are now sorted in alphabetical order, and the dock was reset to what I assume is the default.

In other settings, I also noticed that vibration was turned back on for navigation and keyboard touches. This one was easy to spot. I worry that other setting changes won’t be as obvious to spot.

I assume there is no way to recover? Was this expected from the upgrade?

In my case NFC has suddenly been switched on. I never had it on except for an experiment.

3.4 moved some handsets to Android 15. I could imagine a version change also reverting some settings. Maybe if you told us some details, people could help?

My device is a Teracube 2e.

The /e/OS version is 3.4-a15-20260117569178-official-emerald.

You were right it did update to Android 15. I hadn’t noticed that.
