A young Eurasian slowworm (Anguis fragilis) from today, neither slow nor a worm, about 20cm long and not more than 6mm in diameter. I love them.
This picture has been taken using FreeDCam on my plussed FP3 (now /e/ 1.13-s).
BTW: Uploading jpg-files under Linux seems to be broken, it loads up but the resulting picture is crap. I transformed my picture into a png, then it works as expected.
Most of the fungus activity is ongoing below the surface. But suddenly and in a rapid speed in August they become visible above the surface in the grass. Shot taken in Sweden, August 2023.

The raw file (dng) has been given a bit of treatment in RawTherapee 5.9; eg crop, b/w-conversion and curves (no “manipulation”).
I’m currently on a road trip across Europe and took this amazing picture unedited on the stock /e/OS Camera app with HDR mode in Venice an hour ago… Just what I needed to create my account around here and join the contest!
