I’m astonished about the picture quality of the default camera app on other devices. I got never such pictures on my FP3, neither with the original nor with the new camera module. My pictures were always much more grainy, even when I switched on noise reduction.

A completely black so called Alpine Salamander (Salamandra atra, about 15cm) at 2230m in the morning moistness near the Sulzfluh summit in Switzerland. When the sun comes out they disappear immediately under the grass and you will not see one until next morning.

For some context it’s an old volcano crater and the place is used for music shows and cultural events.
The accoustic is outstanding.

Which Gcam port did you use?
Hi. Some pics are amazing!
Some of the ones I liked most were made with GCam. However, I have a big question: how safe is it to use GCam talking about privacy? I didn’t know about the existence of GCam until now and it activated my alarms: using it wouldn’t be a form of allowing Google to access to our pics or some other sensible information (which is something of course we don’t want, considering that we chose to buy a degoogled phone)? Please inform me about this, because for the pic results I would like to test it on my Fairphone 4, but I have this huge concern.

DRO seems to help balance contrast in a scene with both very dark and very light areas. It causes an extra pause after taking a photo. I usually just leave it on.
