Address from contact, if opened with Browser, opens Google Maps.

Step to reproduce:

  1. Add (street) address to a contact in default Contacts

  2. Tap on “Go to address” icon

  3. Choose Browser

  4. It will open Google Maps on Browser

It would be better to use OpenStreetMap!

Yes, that’s worst.
I have just tried with SimpleContacts (I never use default apps) and it isn’t shown the browser

I have Firefox as my default browser.
Using built-in Contacts app, I am offered the choice of Magic Earth, OsmAnd~ or Firefox. Selecting Firefox takes me to Google Maps.

I think it has to see with Contacts app, as it’s forked from Google’s Android. So I suppose the code opens an maps.google.com web-address.

Yes, it’s inside the default contacts app. I think someone shoukd create an issue in Gitlab for this
