Mine’s quiet after the reboot, fwiw.
Yes, it went quiet after clear cache/storage. I also did the auto timezone off/on suggested above. But then I restarted my phone and it is immediately doing it again.
Did it start around 10 a.m. for everyone?
Same for me, it consumed a lot of battery.
This does not survive a reboot. Upon phone restart, it does it again.
Maybe but will have to get a confirmation from the developers.
Hello,
I have the same problem on my fairphone 5.
Yes, about 10 hours, actually.
It surprises you
, and then you think of a virus, a malware.
I can confirm that this helped me (Fairphone 6, /e/OS 3.14). I didn’t clear any other data or cache.
Same problem here.
Xiaomi 12 cupid eOS 3.1.4-a15.
Clearing cache and/or data did NOT help!
Turned my phone off because it was getting very warm.
Will try the timezone thing…

This morning, advanced privacy is spaming my notifications, and looking into the application, it’s kind of broken too.
I made 2 videos (I think it’s draining my battery)
I have done nothing specific, I tried to reboot, I disabled the tracker blocker, but it’s still spamming.
I’m on FP6 last update v3.1.4-a15 · e / os / 🚀 Releases · GitLab

Seems to do the trick! =)
I does come back after a reboot as well with the workaround I proposed above without deleting the App Data.
But it’s still less destructive since statistics and custom settings in Advanced Privacy are preserved.
I just won’t reboot for the time being until a fix comes along ![]()
I have the same problem.
Tried to reboot, clear cache, delete app memory, nothing worked.
FP4 with /e/OS version 3.1.4-a14-20250915526529-official-FP4
I used the @Manoj solution before your @laz

I hope it didn’t cause a problem to empty the storage and cache.
Same here - two different devices running e os 3.1.4
I’ve had my FP4 for over two years, this is the first time I’ve seen it on my mobile phone ![]()
Worked for me too. I am now in ‘Afghanistan’ time zone but at least the problem is solved!
Same issue for me with a Pixel 5 running eOS 3.1.4, looks definitely related to the time change that just happens in France as it started when I took my phone out of airplane mode this morning.
Clearing data for Advanced Privacy did the trick for me.
While we’re at it, it would be nice to consider an option to disable notifications for this: although I think it is a great feature, I am not that interested to be interrupted at random times just to see stats.
Same here on a FP5 running v3.1.4.
I’ve updated to this version 2 days ago in the evening (GMT+2). Yesterday I noticed increased battery drain. Instead of 1 day on a 80% battery till 20% it drained the battery to 40% in half a day. I’m not sure if it’s related.
20 minutes ago I started getting the same Advanced Privacy notification spam. I click the notification and closed the app. This does indeed not solve the problem. After some tries I managed to open the app information screen (I opened it from the recent app overview). From there I force closed the app. I openend it again and the notifications started. I did another force close and swiped the notifications away. After now starting the app everything seems normal now. Although in those 20 minutes I lost ~15% battery. I didn’t clear any cache or data. I hope this helps.
Edit: fixed typos
