Ever since the last OTA OS update, the App Lounge isn’t updating the apps.
App Lounge still opens alright, it still scans all the apps and shows which ones need updating, but if you click the ‘Update’ button on any out-of-date apps, the little button changes to the ‘Percentage Done’ display, and stays at 0% no matter how long you wait.
I just went through Permission Manager to ensure that App Lounge hadn’t somehow gotten permissions removed… nothing found there.
App Lounge is listed under ‘Files and media’ permission, with ‘Allow management of all files’ selected.
{EDIT 2}
I just checked for new OTA OS updates, and found that /e/OS 3.2 is available now. I’m going to install it, then I’ll report back whether App Lounge starts working.
{EDIT 3}
OK, I got /e/OS 3.2-s-20251022539006-official-emerald installed. App Lounge continues the behavior detailed above.
I have reset preferences, cleared App Lounge storage, rebooted.
Before I did those things, Search was not working at all. Since doing them, I can search apps to install, a few do install but most instantly flake out with a Retry button that also fails.
However, Updates does not work at all, it just hangs.
“Reset app preferences” also eliminates all rights and background data limitations according to the info. I don’t think that this is the intention with /e/OS installed…. Then we can probably better install a common android version.
I don’t have a lot of apps, and the one’s I’ve got are now all up-to-date, so I haven’t had the chance to test whether it still works. I’ll report back as soon as I do.
My apps are now all fully updated as well. May have been an issue due to /e/OS changing to 3.2 and everyone at the same time doing updates.(?) According to release info there was some work done on the app store.
